Research teams generally start off with a thorough understanding of the methods they intend to use, but even the best-laid plans may require building new skills and knowledge along the way!
Taubman Library Informationists Jackie Freeman, Carol Shannon, and Judy Smith join us to discuss how they approached applying a mixed methods sequential study design to their library impact assessment project, which focused on the impact of the library on patient and population care. They will share their views on approaching library research projects with an openness to learning, and will share some of the challenges, adaptations, adjustments, successes, and new skills acquired over the course of their assessment work.
