GIDEON (Global Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology Online Network) web platform and the API provide access to the world’s premier global infectious diseases database. The Infectious Diseases data module encompasses 350+ infectious diseases, 230+ countries and 700+ anti-infective drugs and vaccines. This session introduces the GIDEON platform and API. The session is designed for anyone with an interest in public health, health policy, vaccines, or incorporating infectious disease data in their research. GIDEON Informatics team members will present real research use cases and walk participants through how to find data, query the API, harness GIDEON alerts, and convert programmatic outputs into practical formats using API clients and data tools.
